The government has launched a “WhatsApp Corona Helpline” to spread awareness about coronavirus in local languages.
By sending whatsapp message on 092-300-111-1166, the citizens will be able to get the latest updates about the coronavirus and information about the nearby laboratory for corona test.
The helpline has been built on the WhatsApp Business API, in partnership with the Digital Pakistan team and Infobip’s global communication platform to provide timely information to people about COVID-19.
The WhatsApp helpline provides information in Urdu and six regional languages, including Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi and Kashmiri. The technology answers questions about novel coronavirus, its symptoms, ways to protect yourself, risk assessment, educative videos made by the health ministry and shares information about nearest labs for the Covid-19 test.
