Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a plan to provide rescue 1122 fire brigade and ambulance services to the citizens with the online ride-hailing company, Careem.
This service can be availed from this week by Cream App. Initially, 50,000 citizens will have access to the facility in selected areas of the provincial capital. Both partners have announced that the service will be expanded to other cities soon.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan inaugurated the app at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mahmood stated that “the initiative will further improve the outreach of Rescue 1122 services in Peshawar and that they may be extended to the rest of the province, enabling the government to save precious lives through the tech-enabled solution.”
The citizens can now book Rescue 1122 vehicles for different emergencies including road accidents, medical emergency, fire, natural calamities, and or any other disaster.
Government has announced to take strict action on the false calls, legal action or fine will be imposed for such activity.
