Lulu has opened its first ever e-commerce fulfilment centre in Oman to strengthen its online presence.
The facility will act as an exclusive fulfilment center for the entire spectrum of online transactions and will cater to the growing needs of the tech-savvy population of Oman.
The hypermarket operator is looking to cash in on high demand for e-shopping. Its online portal for multi-category shopping in Oman promises to deliver everyday grocery, fresh food, dairy products, home furnishings and other consumer goods right in the comfort of customers’ homes.
Yusuf Ali MA, chairman of Lulu Group, said:
“[The centre] not only marks an important milestone in our growth but sets a benchmark for our future projects. We hope the new facility would boost online sales and significantly expand our economic footprint in the region.”
Asila bint Salim Al Samsami, undersecretary of Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the facility is a first of its kind in Oman.
“An expansion of the popular superstore’s online presence, it is an important showcase for our great local products and offers us all an easier, faster and more comfortable way to shop. We are delighted to see such developments,” she said.
