Shujaat Ameer Co Founder & Head of Business & Customer Service at FetchSky while in conversation with Daily NewsPK explained how their unique proposition Peekaboo is accumulating different deals and discounts from services industry throughout Pakistan and offering them on a single platform.
1. What led you to create ‘Peekaboo’? When was it founded?
Peekaboo was founded back in 2016. The idea originated from a problem statement related to deals and discounts and how to help people save money and make better buying decision. Peekaboo itself does not provide any deals or discounts – There are many who offer discounts such as banks, telcos, insurance companies & student offers. Similarly, brands and merchants themselves offer sales and promotions but there was no centralized platform to find all this information. We solved the problem of who is offering what, where and when.
2. What is the core service/solution you are providing? What are the pain points that you are targeting and what is the key differentiating factor from similar offerings?
Peekaboo is a location based lifestyle app which allows the users to explore the nearby places, find discounts and deals as well as access all third part services on one platform such as food ordering, ticket booking, ride booking, doctor’s appointments etc. Cusp of these services creates a unique selling proposition which no one else is offer.
Additionally, Peekaboo is plugged into many banking apps which helps us to extend these services to wider audience. Integration with all the leading banks in Pakistan gives us a huge advantage when it comes to exponential growth. These plugins are not limited to just the banks, Insurance & telcos, but other industry platforms can also integrate our services. Another key factor is the advanced technology of Peekaboo and integration with so many financial institutions is a testament to that.
3. What are the parameters to measure client satisfaction?
One major and meaningful yardstick is always the number of the users and their retention.
Peekaboo users have steadily grown. We are currently serving 400k B2C and more than a Million B2B2C users. Users have collectively spent around 80K hours on the app translating to about 25 million screen views.
4. What is your future outlook and what do you stand to achieve by next year?
Peekaboo aims to integrate many third party services this year and the next. The vision is to become the true super app of Pakistan. With about 12 Bank integrations along with 3rd party integration services in progress, Peekaboo is set to reach the much wider audience in Pakistan.
Additionally, we believe that we are solving a global problem. We certainly envision ourselves to reach out to the international market in the near future.
