Searle Pharma Pakistan has introduced the most expensive first generic Remedesivir injection for the treatment of coronavirus.
The firm entered into an exclusive licensing and marketing agreement with Beximco Pharmaceuticals, Bangladesh on 29th May 2020.
Mohammad Sajid, the business development director at Searle said,” It’s the first company in the world to introduce the generic variant of the drug. Our partnership will provide an immediate supply of the finished product at an affordable price and will help healthcare providers of Pakistan to treat their hospitalized Covid-19 patients without any delay,”
This friendly collaboration will provide a rapid supply of the finished product at a reasonable cost to meet the country’s urgent requirements and will also help the healthcare workers of Pakistan to treat the hospitalized COVID-19 patients without a second delayed.
The injection costs 20,000 PKR and its generic dose is 11 injections.
