Opera Limited has announced the launch of Dify, Opera’s new fintech, with ambitious plans to disrupt financial services in Europe.
Opera’s plan is to first offer Dify Cashback and the Dify Wallet. Dify Cashback allows consumers to receive cashback for online purchases through the Opera browser. The earned cashback is paid out to the Dify Wallet.
The app also features a free virtual card with Google Pay. Opening an account with the Dify app gets the customer a free virtual Mastercard debit card for shopping online, or offline using Google Pay. Customers will also be able to use it to collect cashback for purchases made using the smart shopping mode within Opera.
The cashback service, as well as the Dify app, are currently offered in Spain in beta, with more European markets to follow in the future.
Opera users in Spain can earn money back while shopping on partner websites with Opera, and seamlessly claim their cashback in the new Dify app.
Opera is adding a smart shopping mode to their desktop browser. The new smart shopping mode creates a unique shopping space that protects user’s cashback from any potential errors by disabling third-party extensions and the adblocker. It also gives access to unique cashback deals from more than 70 partner websites (and hundreds lined-up), including top e-commerce merchants like Nike, Sephora, and Asos, to name a few. Users will be able to claim and spend their cashback in the new Dify app.
