Committed to supporting and encouraging women to succeed in their career pursuits, Ooredoo has recently launched the 22nd edition of its Springboard programme. Created by Women for Women, the programme promotes the inclusion of Omani women in the world of work and empowers them to maximise their full potential through education and training opportunities.
Taught by professionals, Ooredoo’s Springboard programme helps Omani women discover their purpose and values, set achievable goals and gain teamwork, leadership and other skills to achieve a healthy work-life balance. The more than 80 female participants in the current programme, include employees from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Ibri, the Omani Women’s Association in the Wilayat of Yanqul and the Omani Women’s Association in the Wilayat of Dhank.
As part of Ooredoo’s commitment to supporting SoHos and SMEs and boosting the potential of women countrywide, the Springboard programme for women, as well as the SpringForward programme for men and women, fall under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) umbrella. Both CSR programmes are regarded as a benchmark for successful public-private sector collaboration. Ever since it launched these educational programmes several years ago, Ooredoo has provided professional development opportunities for nearly 10,000 Omani men and women. These initiatives have enabled participants to further build their skill sets, as Ooredoo has been working closely with industry leaders and licensed trainers to support the growth and development of individuals.
