Encouraging Omani talent to thrive and live up to their full potential, Ooredoo celebrated the latest wave of 175 graduates from its 21st edition of Springboard and 7th edition of Spring Forward educational programmes. Held under the auspices of H.E Prof. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the ceremony also showcased winning projects from the workshops provided to a number of Ooredoo’s key stakeholders from government and non-government organisations.
Springboard focuses on women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship and Ooredoo recently offered women from their Incubators in Bahla, Al Khaboura, Izki, as well from Oman Bahjah Orphan Society, the chance to take part.
Spring Forward, which supports the professional development of both women and men, saw training conducted in the Wilayat of Samail. Participants were from the Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Housing, Samail Municipality, Ministry of Labour, as well as from the Sewage Treatment Plant at Samail Municipality. In Muscat, Ooredoo trained employees from the Civil Aviation Authority, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and the National University of Science and Technology.
Over the years, the Springboard and Spring Forward programmes have become a benchmark for successful public-private sector collaboration. To date, Ooredoo has provided more than 1,800 women and men the opportunity to enhance their skillsets, as they work closely with industry leaders and licensed trainers to pursue professional and personal development and growth.
Focused on always giving back to the community, both programmes fall under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, ‘Ooredoo Goodwill’. Look out for further news and updates on Springboard and Spring Forward programmes on www.ooredoo.om.
