Omie, a SaaS management platform (ERP) in the cloud, has announced the signing of the purchase of Banco Digital Linker.
Founded in 2019 by David Mourão, Ingrid Barth and Daniel Benevides, fintech offers financial services and banking solutions, such as digital account, credit card and collection management, to more than 30 thousand SMEs, already being a partner in more than 100 offices of accounting. The transaction amounted to R$120 million including a set of Omie shares, incorporating 100% of Linker’s share capital. All of this occurs at a time when neobanks and fintechs are starting to look beyond the individual and start a battle for the legal entity, especially for small and medium-sized companies, which has been moving the market a lot.
Thus, in addition to integrating the solutions of the two companies to have a more complete offer, Omie will also strongly expand Linker’s Current Account and Financial Services customer base, who will later be potential customers for Omie’s ERP. Building this ecosystem, in addition to expanding Omie’s addressable market, should allow for greater customer loyalty and advancement in its value chain.
“We have always believed that financial services and management software are on a convergence trajectory, and that “ERP is the new Internet Banking”. However, many companies may start their journey just through financial services and may evolve to use management software as their business maturity grows,” said Marcelo Lombardo, co-founder and CEO of Omie. “On Linker we found not only a super well-designed product for this purpose, but we also identified a top-notch team that was motivated to join this great mission, sharing the big dream of unlocking the growth of micro, small and medium-sized Brazilian companies. ”
