Startup Weekend Karachi will be taking place virtually from December 18-20, 2020. Startup Weekend is a three-day program where aspiring entrepreneurs experience the process of converting their ideas into workable business models. NIC Karachi, Stimulus Private Limited, and SZABIST Karachi have joined hands as strategic partners for the event.
The event takes place all over the globe and this weekend it is happening in Karachi. Participants will be spending three days building teams with like-minded individuals, working on their startup ideas, getting guidance, and mentorship from local startup founders, and receiving feedback from industry experts.

At the end of the weekend, three teams will be chosen as winners of Startup Weekend Karachi by a jury comprising industry experts. Regardless of who ends up winning, the ultimate goal is to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship within all the participants and that has been an outcome seen as a number of startups have their roots in Startup Weekend globally.
Speaking at the opening session of the event, Syed Azfar Hussain (Program Manager, NIC Karachi) lauded Startup Weekend, “This is a great initiative for encouraging entrepreneurship around the globe and this is what NIC Karachi hopes to do on a national level as well.”
