FMC Corporation, an agricultural sciences company, is pleased to announce that Haseeb Aslam has been appointed general manager of its business in Pakistan and Southwest Asia.
In this position, he will oversee the commercial strategy for Pakistan as well as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar, the latter which together constitute FMC’s footprint in the Southwest Asia region. Based in Lahore, Pakistan, Aslam reports to Pramod Thota, FMC Asia Pacific president.
Thota said, “Haseeb is an experienced leader with decades spent in building and transforming business, his track record speaks for itself. Together with the strong local team we have in Pakistan, I believe Haseeb will be able to develop strong industry partnerships to support the livelihood of farmers and contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture.”
Aslam shared, “I am excited to have this opportunity to lead FMC’s operations in Pakistan and Southwest Asia. Aslam is a seasoned business leader and brings with him over 30 years of management experience in strategic growth, operations, organizational effectiveness and talent development. He joins FMC from Fauji Foods Limited and Fauji Cereals Pakistan where he was Chief Executive Officer. Before his role with Fauji, Aslam spent 25 years with Nestlé SA International serving in a variety of management roles, most recently as Head and Business Executive Officer of Nestlé Family Dairy in Pakistan, where he led the division with annual sales of USD 400 million across multiple category and brand portfolios.
He holds a Master of Business Administration awarded by Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Aslam was ranked Pakistan’s number 1 tennis player from 1984 to 1988. Today, he continues his passion for the sport through active play and coaching.
