Airlift has decided to temporarily suspends its services over epidemic outbreak of coronavirus.
Airlift has shut down its services till April 6, 2020. As a public service company, Airlift wants to take action to help prevent spread of coronavirus .
Airlift said in the tweet, “With the rise of #COVID19 cases in Pakistan, Airlift has decided to act in the collective interest & suspend operations keeping in mind the health and safety of our passengers. Please avoid using public transportation, & practice #SocialDistanacing.”
The statement said, “This decision comes from Airlift’s commitment to putting the safety of its customers, pilots and teammates ahead of other considerations. Our team would like to take this opportunity to advise our passenger community to avoid crowded places, including buses. Crowded places in closed settings create a high-risk environment for contracting the COVID-19 virus. As a responsible organization, Airlift encourages passengers to adopt alternative modes of transport.”
